We're moving, cleaning, shifting, and organizing in anticipation of welcoming all our little Raiders to the 24-25 school year. It's going to be a great year to be a Little Raider!






Ecorse students attend The Michigan Fine Arts Institute . Through the arts, they can express self pride, discover their heritage, and explore avenues for emotional release. They provide instruction to students ages 12-19, in all of the fine art disciplines: Dance, Drama, Creative Writing, Spoken Word, Jazz, Vocal Music, Strings, and Instrumental Music (Symphonic Band / Concert Band). www.Michiganfai.com

Ms. Freedman is finishing the final touches of the Mayan mural that couldn't be reached by Ms. Bright's students. What a wonderful job they did for everyone to enjoy! Thank you for brightening up our hallways.



Congratulations to the recipients from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades of this year's Principal's Award-well deserved and highly respected. And, congratulations to all the students on receiving certificates today at Bunche's Awards Ceremony.







Ms. Bright's project excel class is learning about the Mayan culture. They are painting some flora and fauna from pre-Columbian times at Bunche!





The student's loved the neighborhood ice cream truck on our playground for the last PBIS reward for the year. Extra playtime + ice cream for good behavior!


Ralph J. Bunche can't thank the Ecorse Public Library enough for the commitment they have made to our students this year to continue bringing StoryTime to our 1st graders. Join them this summer at one of their scheduled events.


With just 5 short months of having Math Corps here at Bunche, we have our 1st student exiting the program. It takes dedication, commitment, and hard work and these ladies are proving it!

We had fun learning about and creating butterflies for our Bunche Bucks reward this week.

Mayor Tidwell came and surprised Ms. Williams and Ms. White for the Survivor Teacher Appreciation Challenge we have going on at Bunche. Community + Support = Ecorse Pride!




Our 4th graders spent the day on the water at the Detroit International Wildlife Refuge Water Festival and got to learn all about species found right here in Michigan.









Our 2nd student this week exits Reading Corps! Congratulations on all your hard work and effort over these last few months.

Bunche's 3rd grade did an awesome hands-on lab dissecting owl pellets and discovered what owls ate and how the food web works first hand (notice the mouse skull in one of the pictures!).
